Mark Twain’s real name was Samuel Longhorne Clemens, and he was born in 1835. Haley’s comet was visible in the sky on the night he was born and so it was on the night he died, in 1910. He was a novelist, a journalist, a travel and a short story writer and also a successful lecturer, and one of the greatest American writers of all times.
